Manipulation or Persuasion

Am I being manipulated or persuaded to buy?

Being in marketing and also being a consumer of goods and services I have gained a new perspective on sales and marketing.

I just read a suggestion from a sales book about adding bonuses when a purchase is made and setting up a test for a double bonus when a higher spending level is achieved.

As a consumer, I think about being manipulated because as a marketer it feels like sales tips tricks and tactics are all about doing whatever it takes to make a sale.

Then, I think about it as a consumer, I am being offered a deal, more of what I want plus something that extra.

As long as I am honest in my marketing and give what I promise, and don’t intentionally misrepresent my products and services I should be fine.

That being said, I must also disclose that I am a student of copywriting. I bought a huge pack of PLR products based on copywriting. I am practicing what I study and I am passing some of my knowledge here in my blog posts and in my email.

I need lots of work to make myself successful and I am focused on doing that work. I have to find a way to make this work.
