Stop Focusing On The Hype?

We’ve all seen those blatant attempts to give us crap in exchange for our money. Clickbait hype!

What about your sales copy? – Is it just a bunch of crappy hype you’re hoping works since you see it all over the internet –> if everyone else is doing it it must be working, right?

You’re probably wondering, what is actually working? How do I get someone to click on my promotions?

It’s a process – with copywriting – that you must constantly and consistently adjust, measure, test and implement improvements, then do it again!

It’s what marketers do. You write up a lead capture, squeeze, page and send traffic to it.

You have to test it a few hundred times, I mean send at least 300 clicks through it and see how many conversions you get.

You then change one small aspect of the page and do another 300 click test and compare results.

Next, you continue to send traffic to the one that’s working and test another against it, in an A|B split test.

Make sure to give the new page at least 300 clicks and check the conversion rates and always put the best one up to run against your new page.

That’s just to optimize the landing page to get leads added to your email list.

Next, you have to do the same thing with your sales or OTO (one-time offer) page. You have to see the amount of traffic you send to the page and compare that with the number of sales you get and start sending traffic to the one that is converting leads to sales the best and keep testing new pages in a split test against your best-converting sales page.

Here’s a link to a course that goes into the details of how to get started with an email marketing business. It focuses on copywriting. That is the basis of online marketing – copywriting – It’s the lifeblood of any online or mail-order business.

You have to rely on your words and your ability to get in front of your prospects at the right time. You continuously test new words against the ones that have been producing the best results so far.

You see near the top of this post I’ve created an advertisement for the product I am promoting that goes into greater detail on the subject matter of this post.

This post is how I work on my delivery of my sales messages and also how I brainstorm on how to proceed with my endeavors.

With the current state of the world being what it is and my experience level based on my personal life experiences I have a low level of expectation for any employers to take me seriously and I have no sense of security from the officials elected to take care of the public, that leads me to the need to take care of myself and online marketing is the easiest and most lucrative option I see available.

Keep coming back here to get updates on what is working, what is falling to the wayside and what is coming up next…

How To Write An eBook – With ChatGPT

Here’s a short list of steps to take to write an ebook with the help of ChatGPT:

  1. Go to ChatGPT.
  2. Ask for titles for your book about “Your Topic Here” – (I usually ask for “a list of 10 title ideas for a book about learning how to be a copywriter”)
  3. Choose your favorite title and adjust it and edit it and refine it to what you like, ChatGPT is great for generating ideas and writing codes…
  4. ask ChatGPT to write an outline for the book “Your Favorite Title Here
  5. The Outline can be your Table Of Contents – you may edit or not as you see fit at this or any stage and be sure to check that you are not plagiarising anyone else’s work.
  6. For each chapter ask ChatGPT to give you an outline for the chapter
  7. Take each topic of the outline and ask ChatGPT to expand on the topic.
  8. Place the information in a word editor of your choice and create the layout you desire… add pictures, tables, charts links, etc.
  9. Create a cover for your book
  10. proofread and fix any errors
  11. edit to make the work flow together smoothly
  12. put the cover on your book
  13. convert your book to pdf and upload it to your host where you can sell or give away your book as you desire

A Little Update

The research for writing a book using ChatGPT has had me busy all morning. At first everything seemed to be going smoothly then things took a strange unexpected turn. The ChatGPT gave me more information about topics I didn’t know existed and veered away from the subject matter at hand… but oddly came back to where needed.

The prompt was to “outline a 12 chapter ebook how to use chatgpt to become a professional copywriter” and it was doing that but with more detail than necessary on the technical aspects of ChatGPT. It was telling how to modify ChatGPT and how to use Python with it and it was more than expected.

By reading through the text and adjusting it for the specifics of my project I could see what it was doing… it was teaching me how to teach ChatGPT to be a great copywriter.

It taught me how to specify what exactly I want it to do. It showed me how to get the right questions into the prompts to get out the info I want.

In conclusion, for this short update, there is an excellent detailed guide about copywriting coming out for a few different aspects regarding copywriting:

  1. Salespage copy
  2. landing page copy
  3. and email marketing copy

As I work on these I am contemplating whether or not to charge for them. If I give away the information to people who buy traffic from me it will improve their results and profitability from that traffic. If I sell the info to them I add a revenue stream. I guess the only way to know is to test both methods and see which does better.

A guide on testing would be nice too!

More Brainstorming

Couple of things on my mind:

  1. How and what should I be tracking
  2. should I sell in every post update and email?

Lately I’ve been delving into this kick of producing my own products. I don’t know how to track my traffic and sales effectively.

I don’t have a great funnel either.

I need to focus on sending traffic to my offers enough times to make sure they have opportunity to buy.

Lots of what I read says to be effective you need to put your offer in front of someone 7 times before they trust and know you enough to buy from you.

Many of the Clickbank products that offer email swipes only give 5 part email follow-ups, even though they just told you that you need 7 contacts before a prospect will make a purchase…

I also noticed that the gurus are setting up these campaigns for their clients, and charging hundreds and even thousands of dollars for you to get access to these same campaigns.

When I try and watch their 2 hour webinars to “welcome” me to their program and help me set up everything I get anxious then bored and am ready to leave after a few minutes.

Lots of moving parts, lots of stuff to track and lots of ideas on what I should be doing but I don’t know how to read the data so I know exactly what I need to do.

All aspects of my business need constant work.

I have met my goal of being able to drive traffic to my offers. Now I need to work on converting prospects to customers.

My sales pages are meant to do that.

I need to have a better sales page.

I am talking to myself and I find that writing this stuff down, if I come back and go over it or not, helps propel me in the direction I am trying to go.

I just mentally and on my keyboard went through what’s working for me and what needs my attention most.

I went back to what I just proved to myself again this morning that I have a squeeze that builds my list by converting visitors to subscribers at above a 35%rate.

Now I need to implement a sales page and a follow up email series to drive more sales.

My main offer right now, and the easiest to make a profit with is selling Solo Ads.

All the other products I am working on are all important to my business and can help others in the same situation as me. We are trying to make a decent living from the internet and we want a real business that doesn’t take all our time and energy to make money.

I don’t want to pay the gurus thousands of dollars so they can send me on the run around buying all these contraptions that are supposed to help me make money online and end up costing me lots of time to learn and implement and cost a ton of money that I can only make back if I figure out how to sell the same products to other folks like I was sold to.

I’ve been at this for a long time and I know lots of stuff that doesn’t work. I still don’t have a clear path, laid out by any make money online guru, that shows me step by step what to do to make money online. They say to do this then do that but most are selling a program to just sell more of these pie in the sky get rich quick dream businesses that only work in fantasy.

It’s like a vicious cycle… buy a program that promises you’ll never need to buy anything else to make money online then you get hit with the upgrade option that will catapult your success to the fast lane and make you rich before you even finish reading the program! You fall for it because the offer is so compelling you almost feel silly not to buy it then after a few days of studying and working the system you find out it was just someone else’s idea of a get rich quick program that got matched with some good copywriters that have no morals so they convince you to part with your money once again…

The funny thing is I still believe that there is some part of it that is true and I know there is a way to make a living selling from an online platform.

I chose to stay in the make money online niche.

My product is traffic.

My lead magnet is a squeeze page that converts the traffic I buy and will convert the traffic I send to my buyers.

Converting subscribers to customers is the new goal.

How do I sell traffic to my customers and get them to trust me?

What do I need to write on my landing pages to get people to want to buy from me?

I am still building a site to sell a copywriting course I am creating based on a PLR (private label rights) product I purchased. I am reading some of the pdf’s, checklists and ebooks about copywriting and most of it says the same stuff.

I am going to run traffic to my high converting squeeze page one more time to triple verify my conversion rates. Before I do that I am going to have my page more prepared to make sales. I am deciding between selling solos and selling copywriting courses.

They are complimentary products and so is my solo ads buying course.

There is also the idea of combining these products into one and charging a higher price.

I could also put together this course that teaches you how to buy solo ads as profitably as possible, give you a squeeze page that converts well and shows you how to sell using your newly learned great copywriting skills as a gift when you purchase a solo ad from me? What do you think? Would you pay $50 for 100 quality clicks if you get a high converting squeeze page and a copywriting course that helps you sell?

Here goes the what if’s again…

Getting All the Pieces in Place

The past couple of days have been about building a product and creating a marketing campaign to drive traffic to it. It has been a real eye opener. The pieces are all there but the packaging and content need a makeover, already!

Getting the offer up, creating an email to broadcast the offer to the email subscriber list, finding out how to share AWeber landing pages and putting functional paypal buttons on a webpage takes time and effort. Add in a sales page, landing pages privacy policies and driving quality traffic and you get a real life business HEADACHE!

If you have been trying to make money online then you know that it is never as easy as the Gurus say. All the sales letters are set up to trigger emotional responses urging you to buy the promoted products.

The products seem to always lead to other products that you must have in order to make your current purchase work at its highest levels of efficiency. Then it seems like that product also has much needed accessories too!

By the time you get all the stuff you “need” you can’t even remember what you set out to do in the first place.

That’s not to say that all online info products are a scam designed to take your money. There are plenty of legitimate online businesses making great money for their owners and there’s plenty of room for many more average ordinary people to get their products up for sale online and make money for them too.

The product I created yesterday is an amalgamation of the different products I’ve bought over the years and I got the bare bones structure up and running last night and started driving traffic this morning.

My landing page is still converting traffic into subscribers and right now it’s over 55% converting clicks into subscribers!

I have 35 new subscribers today and 68 clicks as of this writing.

I haven’t learned how to track and organize very effectively yet, I haven’t learned how to write effective copy on my sales pages but my squeeze page is converting extremely well and I am giving it away right now just click below:

Download High converting squeeze page here

I set up a page to accept Solo Ad Orders below:

Buy Solo Ads

My copywriting on the Solo Ads offer page needs some work.

I know that I need testimonials and more info to get a better look and feel to the page but I really want to start testing my page and getting results.

My goal is to use this same landing page for 3 different runs to see what sort of results I get. I can keep reporting my high conversion rates and have more proof that it is consistent.

My next round of experiments will be a split test.

I need to test another similar page with something different and see how it compares and keep the best and start optimizing that one.

My offer page, where I’m selling solo ads needs some work with the knowledge I have with copywriting and I may need to find a template, that has some data, to use for myself and start testing on that too.

The problem is that the tracking gets confusing really fast. I don’t know what exactly to track and how to keep it all organized in a way that is simple to review, implement changes and see how it compares to what I already have.

I haven’t seen a guide for how to actually track the important metrics that will increase your sales. If you know of one please share!

Status Update

I bought another domain yesterday, InboxCopywrite.com.

It’s going to sell a copywriting course in the form of an email marketing business.

I started thinking about how I could sell solos too.

Then I realized I’ve been neglecting a website I have that is actually getting search engine rankings and is loaded with affiliate products.

Then I started thinking about all the things around the house I need to do and then… My health, I’ve gotta take care of me too!

I am constantly battling the shiny object syndrome and I’m always trying to come up with something lucrative and easy.

I constantly think about sayings and philosophies and feel conflict but I guess I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t feel at least some of these things.

I recently spent money on Udimi to be a promoted seller and I made a few sales. If I didn’t have to pay Udimi I could make much more.

So, I came up with a product to help me sell more solo ads without having to use Udimi.com.

I have a landing page that converts online biz opp traffic into subscribers at around 38% on my first run of 100 clicks.

I plan on doing another 2 runs with the same page and see how it converts.

That is an inexpensive way to have a proven product.

I just found out that I can share my AWeber landing page with people. I can give it away to my subscribers and write a small report telling them they need an AWeber account to get my landing pages and place my affiliate link for them to sign up and if they buy I get affiliate income.

I will also sell solo ad traffic that I can get wholesale prices on and retail it for another source of income and I can sell my course how to build a list and keep improving it, the course and the list.

I have been using some PLR to set up some sites to get people into my other funnels and trying to find the interest of one or more of my segments or to build a segment. I need practice and I need a way to organize properly.

My course Solo Ad Professor goes into this in pretty good detail but it is still going to be a continual project that needs improvement.

I have to slow down and focus on my current projects and actually finish them. The easiest I think will be the Solo Ads selling site and use that to lead into more higher ticket items. I have to keep on testing and adjusting. I am adjusting what I’m doing by what I want to do.

For instance, I don’t want to make videos. It is too much work for me. I know that they can be very useful and lucrative. I know I need them but I don’t want to learn how to edit, be creative and set up an area to film in my home and get all dressed up or at least presentable for the public…

But, I know it needs to be done annd when I’m expert at selling with websites and advertisements then I’ll go into videos.

The PLR product I’m promoting on my new website is selling a video course. The program is old and is in flash player videos so I can’t even see them, only audio.

I don’t want to make videos. I don’t want to pay someone. I don’t want to release an unfinished product. I do kind of want to turn it into an ebook or pdf.

While thinking about and researching the tool to make videos I was reinforcing my desire not to do videos. I may have someone make them for me in the future or I may spend the time to create a few videos and see what happens.

I came up with the ide to sell solo ads offer my landing page and get aweber affiliate commissions all while building my own buyer list.

Now I’ve got to write a sale letter. I have to create an order page, and I have to generate paypal pay buttons.

This PLR course turned into a pdf might just be what I need to step up my game. It isn’t expensive to implement and I am not depending on others for creating products for me. Maybe I can create some sort of wordpress theme that will allow me to sell a done for you service when they buy hosting from me or something.

I can do like Marcus and sell the domain then take 2-3 months to set it up and add some content…

Prioritize—> What’s going to make me the most money the fastest?

Settin up the lead capture page is already done.

I already have a couple of PLR products and campaign set up so I can immediately get more traffic for my landing page to test out for conversions to subscribers and buyers.

I need to set up a OTO or some way to get the offer to download my landing page or at least have access to it, and that comes with an easy way to offer my affiliate link for them to subscribe to AWeber to get the free landing page.

Then I can have a link to my sales page where they can purchase a solo ad package.

I have to build:

  1. a sales page for the solos.
  2. landing page to promote the solos for sale.
  3. an offer to get my AWeber landing page that converts Solo Ad Traffic over 35%+

Future:

Campaign to buy my email marketing book?

Sell a Copywriting course?

Just keep putting PLR products up “As-Is”?

Make videos for current projects?

Start improving bing or google ads?

Start mastering Taboola?

Make Youtube Ads?

Make a podcast?

Go into a different market?

So many big questions easy to get distracted thinking about…

Make the solo ad sales page!

Be back with an update and a link soon!

Pie In The Sky

Today I received a marketing email and I knew that’s what it was. Being in internet marketing I wanted to see what it was all about. It immediately threw me off because I recognized the formula about selling the benefits. The guy tells his sob story and how his new revolutionary affiliate marketing system made him a millionaire almost overnight.

I know that the system he’s selling works but it is not at all glamorous or easy the way the sales letter wants you to believe.

I’ve bought into those systems before and I get immediately disappointed and let down because it is a foot in the door tactic that promises the world and delivers lack and scarcity.

It plays on our emotions to fix a problem we are having and it feels to me like it is robbing people of their hard earned cash by manipulating their emotions to buy a prduct that will not deliver the way the sale’s letter paints it out for you.

That’s why I am being open about what I’m doing and what I’m trying to convey to you. I am looking at concepts in this business that are what I consider fundamental and I’m trying to eliminate the need for cheap tricks for a more solid relationship based on quality.

I am using PLR products, products you can go out and buy the rights for yourself and change to your liking and sell just like I’m doing only you can upgrade the information to be updated for today’s current market. I mean some of the websites, programs and tools available just a couple of years ago have gone away or new tools that do a better job for less money have come out to replace the old. Placing referral links to products that do the same job as those in the PLR courses is a great way to create new content from old outdated content and sell that content just like the original creator of the product intended.

My first product was The Solo Ad Professor. It is a few years old. The info is still relevant. The industry is still unregulated and there is still room for you in it. You can still buy a set number of clicks from a list owner or reseller for a set amount of money up front. There are still cheats and crooks that you need to watch out for. People still try and sell you fake clicks and robot traffic.

You still need to have a follow up campaign to sell to your subscribers because they still don’t usually buy from first contact.

The info in that course is still very relevant but some of the vendors or autoresponders may no longer be online. I chose that industry as a starting place because of the enormous success I had building a list using solo ads.

Now, I didn’t have the follow ups in place. I didn’t have any clue about tracking, I needed to figure out how to integrate my Paypal buttons into the products I’m selling and I need to find a way to communicate my vision that the products I’m promoting are both relevant and valuable.

Anyone can use the info I’m selling, for CHEAP, and look at the structure pay attention to the message and its delivery. Take that same structure and reverse engineer it and do the same thing. Take any PLR course and turn it into your own product.

These products I am selling are products I am in need of the information from.

I need lots of help in the persuasive writing department and that’s why I purchased a bundle of PLR on copywriting.

After loading the first product Copywriting Influence onto my subdomain I was looking at the other products in the bundle and there are some gems.

Some of them I may be able to give away to my subscribers and if not I will be sharing the info in my blogs and in my emails. They are good ethical bribes to get eyes on my offers. One of the ebooks in the bundle actually appears higher quality than the one that is offered in the course I’m selling so be on the lookout for that book!

It was kind of fun putting together the website yesterday. I had some trouble but it came together and I’m learning how to deal with code. I can take it and make it work

I know that folks are raving about the coding abilities of chatGPT but I don’t know how to take advantage of those capabilities yet.

I do know that ChatGPT can help with email and content creation.

I am impressed with its copywriting abilities.

It wrote the follow up series for The Solo Ad Professor for me. I may have to add more emails or reword the ones I’ve already got but that comes a little later. I have to get more eyes on my offers and get more offers out there.

My segmenting of my list is still in its infancy. I am still learning how to put offers in front of the right people at the right time. According to the gurus I follow they say that your offer needs to be seen 7 times before someone buys from you. I don’t even have 7 follow ups for one of my products yet.

Using the knowledge from these copywriting courses I will add more follow ups to my campaigns and I will implement the strategies to ethically drive sales from my subscribers.

These blog posts are also a medium for selling my products and I use it more for spewing out my thoughts at unregulated speeds!

I let out my thought, trials and tribulations for you to see and I need to focus more on implementing what I learn.

I feel like copywriting has some sort of magical ability to turn random strangers into sudden fans of my work who are eager to wake up every morning to read my email and buy my products… Wouldn’t that be great?

The other wonderful part about it is that I am writing this stuff and setting it up in an autoresponder so I send traffic and my system does all the work for me in perpetuity.

So, I am happy about doing work that has the ability to help others because the information is relevant today and it will still be relevant in the next few years to come and the more I learn and refine the more my business grows and the more my income will grow too!

How do I convey that message to my subscribers?

How do I put that in persuasive language to get my products to sell?

That’s what this blog and my products are about so stay tuned…

My Newest Product – Copywriting Influence

This is a decent sales page, in my opinion, but it could definitely use some of it’s own advice. The link is here:

https://copywritinginfluence.soloadsprofit.com/

I don’t have a lead magnet set up for this course. My latest squeeze page, with no lead magnet, received a 40% opt-in rate, total. I mean I got an over-delivery of 20% and total subscribers to my list divided by total number of clicks is greater than 0.40, which is 40%! If you are interested in Buying traffic check out my site SoloAdsProfit.com and Ask for the lead capture page that’s getting a 40% opt-in rate.

I started reading the ebook being sold in this course and it is worth $7 but it could use some sprucing up. This is a PLR course that could easily be turned into a nice decent saleable product. The set up is nice and it leaves room to advertise your other, complimentary products which I plan on doing.

Would you be interested in a full course about how to get out of debt, raise your credit score and start a make money online business? Leave me a comment or send me an email to:

ghernandez@gilberthernandez.com

There is a ton of PLR available in the get out of debt category, I have studied and accomplished getting out of debt. I have started researching getting credit for a small online startup business too.

Right now, in case you haven’t noticed, I am in the startup stage of my own make money online type of company. I guess the best way to classify myself would be an internet marketer.

I discovered recently that waiting for free traffic is worse than watching paint dry or grass grow!

Solo ads have greatly increased the traffic to my offers. My management of my list has improved my response rates.

My testing of two different squeeze pages has shown one to perform significantly better.

Now I am working on improving my follow up emails, developing my own products and automating the processes as I go through them.

Today I bought a PLR package and there are about 10 different products all related to copywriting. I am going to continue setting them each up and setting up at least a 5 email follow up series. I have to also keep adding more traffic into my funnels but I have to get sales to pay for the solo ads. Selling a $7 product means I am banking on selling lots of little items instead of 1 large purchase.

This is my way of getting started. I can set these sites up and put a Paypal button on there!

What I am working on to set myself apart is my ability to follow up and get the right message across to you at the right time to get you to buy from me.

By going through these courses that I am selling I can learn lots and pass that learning on to you.

I am expecting questions and I am going to have to put more effort in to some aspects of my business to make it more profitable. Right now, while I’m learning and to avoid falling into debt without any return I have to make this work. If no one buys the PLR courses for the knowledge and template for your own make money online business then I will have to make stand alone sites with my own branded version of these PLR products and if that doesn’t work I can redo it again to my own unique product with my own experiences to show what actually works!

So, remember the concepts described in these courses, the fundamentals are there. They may not have the best packaging but they deliver, for their price, on content!

If you really like on of these products and want to develop it further let me know and we can make a deal.

PLR Products About Copywriting

There are different types of licenses available from the sites that sell PLR info products. Some let you have full authority to change the course or not change it – as you see fit – while others only let you use it for your own gain of knowledge.

Most of the PLR products don’t allow you to resell the Private Label Rights – like the ones you just bought – which means you can buy it and change it but you can’t sell the product you received for someone else to come along and do the same thing you are doing.

This is fine for me.

I am setting up the products that I buy that have certain rights. I am using the products as stand alone products (within my licensed rights) and setting them up to make me money and to show you how to do the same.

My last project was a course on using solo ads to build an email list and turning that list of prospects into a list of customers is what the next series of info is going to be about. I purchased a bundle of PLR products all about the topic of copywriting.

Copywriting is not my top skill. I need this info to improve my own online business. I also need practice setting up websites and getting the “funnel” full of prospects that are turning into paying customers.

The technical aspects are fairly straight forward. While there may be many ways to create a website to facilitate the exchange of money for information the building of that site is not always smooth. There are usually precise well laid out solutions for the exact problem you encounter and even though the fixes take time to figure out there is an exact answer and usually an easy fix, even though it takes hours to identify the problem because of a silly typo or misdirecting a link to one of your pages…

Copywriting, to me, has a more mysterious, clandestine, esoteric essence that is a mystery to me.

The bundle I purchased has many different angles surrounding the topic and some specific instances on how to write for specific topics and times.

There are some that have videos and some are all texts.

Be aware that I will be implementing what I learn with these how to write sales copy courses and I am setting up the courses for you to get the lead magnets to and get email lessons from and possibly buy the courses.

Of course I want to sell courses but I also want to learn from what I am selling too.

I am setting these up as straight out of the box as possible to keep my workload to a minimum and to keep me busy putting out new products and keep me busy testing out new stuff and making money implementing what works and discarding what fails and reporting those findings with you.

To get the most out of my emails, blogs and courses please respond to emails, comment on the blogs and send in testimonials to your results when using the info I’ve passed along to you.

Thanks for reading and please ask me questions it helps me know I’m going the right direction in getting you what you need or want and it helps you get what you need or want, and like we always used to hear in school about asking questions:

  1. there are no stupid questions and…
  2. someone else probably has the same question but is afraid to ask

So, ask me, and I’ll do all I can to help!

Here’s another sticking point I’m having right now, more brainstorming…

There are two paths here – 1. I can put these new to me info products up for purchase fairly easily on a subdomain. or 2. I can get a new domain for different products or bundles (gotta do more in depth study of materials and my rights to sell them) and sell them that way and have an asset ready to sell as it’s own product, I can sell the website with the product on it as a readymade business to someone else.

I think both are viable and both should be tried but which way should I go now?

Here’s a tip for getting engagement – ask for it –

Please click the button below if you want to see a new website on it’s own domain for one of these new PLR products or if you want to see me set it up on a subdomain of another site:
